San Francisco was emerging as a haven for free-spirited souls and daring concepts. At 3138 Fillmore Street, within the cozy confines of a once 100-capacity beer-and-pizza shop, the origins of the “San Francisco Sound” were being forged.

On the 13th of August, the doors opened, marking the inception of an extraordinary chapter in the city's nightlife. With Jefferson Airplane, as the club's undeniable "house band" this storied venue was written into the history books.

By the mid-1990s, the once-thriving musical sanctuary dimmed into obscurity, but a spirited young entrepreneur saw its potential. Driven by a fervent desire to resurrect its faded glory and rekindle the timeless melodies of music and merriment within its walls, the doors to the MatrixFillmore opened under the PlumpJack Group. Fast-forward to 2018, and White Rabbit opens its doors as a space where the past and present intertwine—a vibrant music venue to enjoy live performances with no-fuss cocktails alongside infectious vibes.

Its name is a delicate nod to the origin's heart—Jefferson Airplane and its illustrious ballad, recorded by Grace Slick in its namesake space.
